You are so right. Our tendencies as adults trained by the public school model is to turn (and twist) everything into "educational" and stress out the kids. It makes me think of book reports. I never required my kids to do anything about the books they read because I didn't want to turn reading into a task--it's a joy! And when they were excited about what they read, they'd come tell me about it and we'd all get excited and want to learn more. It's so fun to see all this unfold.
