Hi!

Just want to say that I've been enjoying your blog so much! I just had to comment here as I stumbled upon this post this morning, we just went to the Toronto Zoo yesterday and had an equally fabulous, unrushed visit with no line-ups and no agendas! Our children were even invited into the zookeepers work room where they could see some behind-the-scenes zoo action. Thanks for the info also on the St. Louis Zoo...if we're ever down that way, we will hopefully check it out!

Warmly,

Melany

This is such an awesome post and very true. I find that life is less stressful for everyone when the kids are doing what they are interested in--they are enjoying what they are learning and therefore retaining it. I have learned that when we go places I need to be relaxed and go with the flow--no agenda, that way if things DON'T go well, if someone gets sick or hurt, crabby or tired we can just leave. It is so much nicer than rushing about trying to force everyone to do everything planned and then havin g a miserable time because things didn't go the right way.
