Thanks for sharing your blessings. Our kids have been in a percussion bands for years (10 years for our son). This year, our pastors wife asked why he didn't play the drum kit. We told her they play hand drums and keyed percussion instruments and he didn't know how to play the kit and we didn't have one for him to take lessons. She practically did a jig of excitement as the church had one that was at someones house and those people wanted it out because they were finished with it, but there was no where to store it, so now we are the keepers of a set of church drums for as long as we want to store them, then another family can be blessed. The percussion teacher is a professional drummer, has homeschool bands in the area and he plays for the symphony. I asked him how much he would charge. He said last year he gave all his private students money back and dropped them as students because he didn't have time, but for T, he would take him on for free but the lessons would be sporatic and T would have to practice hard. Lessons have been one every 2 weeks for the most part, but they are 45 minutes long and sometimes longer. The teacher said, give him 2 years and he will make T a star. We feel so blessed also in the paths in which the kids have their interests. God is good.
