Thank you for sharing this. I’ve been dancing with the idea of becoming an unschooler since I started homeschooling 2 1/2 to 3 years ago. I found this site by googling “Christian Unschoolers in PA”. This has really inspired me. Thank you.

What a blessing! I stumble upon your site while searching for natural shampoo recipes and found a world of encouragement! I too am a former teacher – who never dreamed I’d be homeschooling my children – but after MUCH conviction for the HS – here we are. We have experienced the sweet joys of days like this – and even read the same (I think) book about Washington Crossing the Deleware! In fact when my 4 yr old’s grandfather gave him a “Deleware Quarter” he said with excitement, “HEY! That’s where George Washington was!!!!”
Keep up the good work – and thanks for sharing it with us.

I really enjoyed reading this. As a teacher and a mother, I hope to inspire learning through the things that my children love. I grew up in California, but my grandmother lived in Latrobe, so I was so excited to read about Idlewild. I have so many great memories of “learning” during my summers in PA.
